AVEDIS FOUNDATION HISTORY

Avedis Foundation is a private foundation with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, established in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2012 from the sale of Unity Health Center to the St. Anthony Network. It is one of Oklahoma’s largest private foundations, addressing community needs throughout Pottawatomie County through grantmaking and targeted giving.

In keeping with its mission, “to measurably improve the health, wellness and quality of life for the people of Pottawatomie County and its surrounding communities,” Avedis Foundation prioritizes strategic investments in the fundamental areas of education, health and wellness, nonprofit infrastructure, and community growth and development.

Our signature statement, “We’re here for good,” reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to creating positive, lasting change in the communities we serve by investing in organizations and projects that improve health and quality of life outcomes.
